Korea’s largest and most famous cherry blossom festival is only one week away! From April 1-10, make your way down south to Jinhae not only to see hundreds of thousands of blooming cherry blossom trees but also to participate in many events celebrating the legacy of Admiral Yi Sun-shin, the beauty of Korean arts and culture, and the pomp and circumstance of the Korean Navy.

The official name of the festival is Gunhangje (군항제), which means “Naval Port Festival”. It coincides with a military parade festival on 4/4-6.

Special events at Jinhae Public Stadium, Bugwon Rotary, Jinhaeru, Yeojwacheon, Jinhae Civic Center, the Naval Academy, and Masan, as well as hours for Jinhae’s year-round attractions (the museum, the marine park, JInhae Dream Park, etc.)
